A ROWE Roundtable

The 2011 Capella University Alliance roundtable series is kicking off and continuing with an engaging discussion on what organizations need to be doing to address the changing needs of the 2020 Workplace. And I am so excited to be the featured speaker.

By the end of this roundtable, you will:

  • Walk away with a better understanding of ROWE
  • Learn about ways organizations such as Best Buy, the GapOutlet, and Hennepin County are challenging the beliefs of work in a traditional work environment
  • Share and learn from others in attendance what organizations across the Twin Cities are doing to prepare for the 2020 workplace
  • Create thought and reflection on your current environment’s culture to identify which capabilities you can implement in the short and long term to get ready for the 2020 Workplace

Event Details:
Date:   April 12th, 2011
Time:   8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

Hi. I am just learning about a ROWE work environment – I currently work in a “traditional” work environment. When I began reading about ROWE I was floored, it was life changing as the words and ideas jumped off the page…it made so much sense to me and spoke to the unhappiness I have been feeling about work for a number of years. I now understand that I don’t have to hate my work environment and has renewed my passion for work.

Melissa- Great to hear from you! You are exactly right- you should be motivated by the work you do- it is the rules and restrictions around how the work has to be done that brings us down. Hope to see you at the ROWE event next week!
