ROWE IMPLEMENTATION OVERVIEW
Gap Inc.’s Outlet Division initially launched ROWE as a pilot for some of its Corporate Headquarter employees. The objective of the pilot was (1) to test solutions to work-life balance-related employee engagement and turnover issues and (2) to enable increased levels of “off hours” e-sourcing.
The ROWE pilot produced significant results: Production turnover dropped by 50% and employee engagement scores improved by 13 ppts, the best performance in the Division. Several hundred thousand dollars in savings were realized by reduced recruiting and relocation costs.
