3-3-3 = No. Nah. Nope.

Company says its '3-3-3' perk — which pays for any 3 employees to go out after 3 p.m. — is good for business

Quote from the article:

"The idea is it's the afternoon and three people go out and hang out together, chances are you'll talk about something that's relevant or work-related and ultimately that will benefit us," Kaliszan said in the interview.”65cf8f66f533b039a884935a

Honestly, my head hurts.

They are not even trying to pretend it’s about connection - it’s about the bottom line.

How many employees would do this without the free drink or free food? And if the answer is, not many, then what’s really at play here? Ugh!!!!! It’s just another corporate carrot.

Are employees not already communicating, collaborating about what needs to get done and when to ensure customer/clients are served?

Do employees not have 24/7/365 access to technology (like their Slack channel) to share ideas, pitch innovative approaches, and decide if a meeting is necessary?

For the employees who choose not to do this, will they be judged harshly?

What are the metrics for 3-3-3 in relation to impact on success, productivity, increased sales, customer satisfaction?

Paying people to do work is called a salary. Paying people to hang out socially to hopefully talk about work is sad and creepy.

Enough with the adult clubhouses and the adult Romper Rooms.
