Manage the work, not the people

Article after article, blog after blog talking about how managers were not trained and supported during or following the pandemic with regard to leading distributed teams.

There it is.

This means prior to the pandemic managers relied on physical presence rather than results to manage performance.

This is a challenge, but there is a pathway forward.

A new way of leading so that managers can use their skills and experience in a way that honors employee autonomy and guides accountability to measurable results.IMG_5253
