In the December 2011 Journal of Health and Social Behavior, a study by University of Minnesota professors Phyllis Moen and Erin Kelly discussed changes in the health behaviors and actual health of employees who had gone through Results-Only Work Environment™(ROWE™) training.
Employees in ROWE™ certfied teams report better health behaviors in the study:
More sleep (almost an extra hour each night)
More exercise
Staying home when sick
Early treatment for illness
Employees in ROWE™ certfied teams also report greater schedule control and less work-family conflict, which lead to greater health and well-being:
Improved mental well-being
Reduced stress
Greater feelings of being in control of one’s life
Better overall health
Improved energy
